Smelly-Free Brussels Sprouts by Andrew Meblin
Ingredients
- 3 cloves Garlic (finely minced)
- 4 ea Shallots (finely minced)
- 2 TBS Olive Oil
- 2 TBS Butter (melted)
- 2 lbs Brussels Sprouts (trimmed, halved lengthwise)
Instructions
- Mix the minced Garlic, Shallots, Olive Oil and Butter
- Place halved Brussels Sprouts in baking dish, with cut side facing up
- Brush the mixture over the Brussels Sprouts
- Bake in oven, 375 degrees for about 15 - 20 minutes
NOTES
- Even those who said they didn't like Brussels Sprouts, will no doubt love this one.
- When picking out the best Brussels Sprouts, find the smallest (they will be sweetest), and make sure they don't have a lot of yellow leaves on them. That's a sign of old age.
- This mixture can be altered to your taste. For example, you can use more Garlic, or less. Use more or less Olive Oil, or Butter. Do make sure that the Olive Oil and Butter are equal amounts.
- This mixture can actually be used for many other vegetable dishes, such as tiny roasted Red Creamer Potatoes.
- This is a great side dish for just about any meat, fish or poultry.
