Super Bowl Super Guacamole

Super Bowl 44  is Sunday.  What a great game between two great quarterbacks.  I hope you already have planned on Guacamole as part of your Super Bowl menu.  The best Guacamole begins with the best Avocado on earth, the Hass.  And to make sure your Hass Avocados are ripen enough for Super Bowl Guacamole, you better go to the store TODAY and buy them.  Nothing worse than waiting until the last day and you find there are no ripe Avocados.  Stores are doing a better job at keeping ripe Avocados in stock, but look, everyone's looking for ripe Avocados right now.  Hass Avocados will ripen in time for the Super Bowl.  If you buy them and they are not ripe, simply put them single layer into a shoe box.  That's right, a shoe box.  I happen to use a Nike shoe box.  Put that box in the warmest spot in your home.  In a couple of days, check those Avocados.  If they're not ripening quite as fast as you need, then put a ripe Banana or a Red Delicious Apple in the box.  By Sunday, your Avocados will be ready for the best Guacamole on earth.
